I started 16ths Child in January 2021, inspired by my two young daughters, both born on the 16th. It was a creative outlet at a strange old time in the world, allowing me to focus on something beautiful and fun!

I started with knitwear with a newborn in tow, and spent those feeding sessions sewing away until the idea of the cushions was born. I had so much fun sourcing fabrics and creating designs, and the response was something I hadn’t imagined!

I also wanted 16ths Child to be as sustainable as possible. I use fabrics with a low carbon footprint such as linen, the cushion inserts are made in the uk from Organic GOTS certified cotton, and my packaging is 100% recyclable.

16ths Child nurtures my passion for textiles and love of embroidery in each handmade piece. Every item is crafted with thoughtfulness and precision, making it an ideal gift for a special person in your life!
