Description

A Raffle Leaf is a version of an acanthus leaf with ‘raffled’ or serrated edges. It is a common motif in rococo decoration and this handsome pair are studies that Geoffrey made to explore the form. They are available separately or as a pair - Raffle Leaf I has a little leaf at the foot and Raffle Leaf II has a little scroll (the price is per leaf). The Raffle Leaf sculptures were modelled in clay before being moulded and cast in plaster of Paris. They are satisfyingly solid and look great hung individually or as a pair.

Need to know

Each Raffle Leaf is 36cm high x 26cm wide and has a hook cast into the back for hanging. The price is per leaf.
Our plaster casts are only for indoor use. They can be dusted with a soft brush - please don't get them wet!
The Raffle Leaves are cast to order. The lead time is currently ten working days, plus delivery time.

Decorative plaster sculpture displayed on a blue wall with houseplant

Geoffrey Preston

Ide, devon

Deep in the rolling hills of Devon, down a winding country lane, you might stumble across our dusty workshop. Most days you’ll find us there too, elbow deep in clay and plaster. Our collection of pretty plaster plaques are sculpted in clay and cast in plaster of Paris. They are inspired by flowers and the natural world, and by the play of light and shade. We make them for the sheer joy of it, and we hope they will bring beauty and cheer to you and your home too.
