Description

Inspired by 18th century origami puzzle purses, these double sided love letters cleverly unfold to reveal a 19 stanza illustrated (and rather dramatic!) poem influenced by victorian valentine verse. Traditionally, a lock of hair, pressed flower, or ring, would be revealed in the centre as the segments unfolded.

Like a love letter or favourite book, these puzzle purses will 'age' overtime, gently wearing in the lovely way paper and ink does when it's constantly handled with care and affection. They really are a very unique and special gift.

Hand Screenprinted with 8 layers of colourful inks, and with gold leaf details, these heartfelt magical objects will bring warmth and love to those that both send and receive them. Sold individually.

These wonderful love letters are limited edition as they are so time consuming to make. No two prints are the same, you really will own a unique piece of Art. Each of these beautiful letters is truly one of a kind... please allow for slight colour and alignment differences from the images seen... this is the unique joy and beauty of screen printing!

These beautiful 8 layer (four on each side), hand printed puzzle purses are carefully folded 10 times and embellished with gold leaf.
The small heart on the back can be personalised with hand painted initials, (for example R+T or RS+TB) just let me know.

When fully unfolded the love letter is 21cm x 21cm. Sold individually.
