At That Rebel House, we believe in keeping traditional crafts alive, including handmade lampshades.  Sure, you can buy them on the high street, but we rebels like to do things differently.  Each silk Ikat lampshade, trimmed with contrasting velvet, is made to order and created by hand in the UK. Bright clashing designs act as a playful pop of colour, making this lampshade the perfect addition to any interior, complementing our other maximalist homewares.

Handcrafted from beautiful vibrant silk that has come from the Ikat weavers of Uzbekistan. 

The silk threads are woven by hand using an ancient technique on a loom - the process forms a personality for each finished ikat design. This means you can expect to see some character in the silk, such as minor pricks, pulls or weave joins.
